I lost 140 pounds, and have kept it off going on 5 years now.
For a long time, I didn’t want to talk about how I lost the weight. I thought I might jinx myself! I feared I would gain the weight back and I worried that maybe I lost the weight by accident. These irrational thoughts have plagued me for years! But what worries me the most, however, is that I have knowledge to share that might help someone change their life, and I’ve kept that a secret.
Well that is going to change!
From my own perspective, I’m unwilling to listen to advice about weight loss and exercise from someone who hasn’t gone through it themselves. Just because someone has an M.D. doesn’t make them an expert in losing weight. There is so much more to it than food!
Well I’ve gone through this process. I’ve lost the weight. I didn’t have surgery. I eat real food and feel great. I want you to have the same success, and I’m willing to put it all out there for you!
I started out at size 26 weighing 289 pounds. I lost 140 pounds and now wear sizes at the opposite end of the sales rack. I lost about 10 pounds a month, and it took me roughly a year and a half to lose the weight.
Ironically, I didn’t start out planning to lose such a large amount; in fact, I didn’t plan on losing any weight at all. I simply felt like crap all of the time, and was willing to make a few changes to see if my energy level would change.
Surprisingly… it worked! The changes I made helped me to lose weight steadily and consistently. I gained energy and my entire life seemed to change as I lost inches.
It’s been about five years since I lost my weight. I’m finally ready to share the details. So let’s get started!
